The Titan ACF01 is Anchee's run flat, for the cars that came on run flats and carry no spare, in 205/55ZRF16 91W, 225/50ZRF17 94W, 225/40ZRF18 92Y and 245/45ZRF18 100W XL. A reinforced sidewall that keeps rolling after a puncture, on an asymmetric performance tread.

What the Titan ACF01 is built to do
A run flat performance tyre for the European cars that came on run flats and carry no spare.
Puncture a normal tyre and the sidewall folds under the car within a few metres. The Titan's sidewall is built with a reinforced insert stiff enough to carry the car with no air in the tyre at all, so you keep driving at reduced speed to somewhere safe instead of changing a wheel on the motorway shoulder, which on a run flat car you could not do anyway, because there is no spare. Under that sidewall it is an asymmetric performance tyre: a fine inner half for wet grip, big blocked outer shoulders for the corners, and a compound graded 420 or 480 for treadwear. It comes in 205/55ZRF16 91W, 225/50ZRF17 94W, 225/40ZRF18 92Y and 245/45ZRF18 100W XL.

How the Titan ACF01 works
Every part of the Titan has a job to do. Here is what each one does for you on the road, and after a puncture.
A sidewall that carries the car
Inside each sidewall of the Titan is a thick rubber insert that a normal tyre does not have. With air in the tyre it does very little. Lose the air and it takes over, holding the tyre's shape and carrying the weight of that corner of the car so the tread stays on the road and the car stays steady. The international standard for a run flat is 80 km at 80 km/h with no pressure: enough to get off the motorway and to a tyre shop. It also makes the ride firmer, which is the price of never being stranded.
Grip in the corners
Under the reinforcement, the Titan runs a different tread on each half of the tyre. Turn into a corner and the weight rolls onto the outside shoulder, which is built from large, solid blocks that hold their shape and keep more rubber on the road. The inside half is cut much finer, giving you many more edges that bite when you brake and accelerate. The result is a tyre that feels planted when you push on and sure footed when you need to stop.
Grip in the wet
Grooves run right around the Titan and clear water straight out from under the tread, while the fine cuts across the inner ribs break up the thin film that is left, so the rubber stays in contact with the road. It shows where it counts: on the European label, which measures braking on a wet road, every Titan size scores a B, one step off the very top grade.
Quiet, and built to last
A stiff sidewall can make a tyre noisy, so the Titan's tread blocks are cut in a mix of lengths and set in a tuned order to spread the sound across many notes instead of one drone. Three of the four sizes measure 70 decibels on the European label. The compound is graded 420 for treadwear on three sizes and 480 on the 245/45ZRF18, against a median of 320 for the low profile tyres that come through our workshop.
