COMFORSER CF3000 MUD TERRAIN OVERVIEW

Comforser CF3000 mud terrain tyres fitted to SUV off-road on mountain terrain

The Comforser CF3000 is a directional mud terrain tyre engineered for maximum off-road traction. Unlike symmetrical MT tyres, the CF3000's V-shaped tread pattern works like tractor tyres — aggressively channeling mud, snow, and debris away from the contact patch for unrelenting forward grip.

Popular with forestry contractors, farmers, and serious off-roaders across New Zealand, the CF3000 delivers exceptional capability in loose, wet, and challenging terrain at a price point well below premium brands like BFGoodrich or Cooper.

🎬 Real Owner Review (75K+ Views)

"So far I'm going to say that I'm impressed... the little bit of off-roading I've done, they seem to bite right in — no slippage or anything like that."

CF3000 TREAD DESIGN & FEATURES

Comforser CF3000 aggressive tread pattern close-up showing directional V-shape design

The CF3000's directional V-pattern is purpose-built for maximum forward traction. Unlike symmetrical patterns that grip in all directions, the directional design focuses all force forward — ideal for powering through deep mud, loose gravel, and unpacked snow.

Key Design Elements

  • Uni-Directional Tread — V-shaped pattern evacuates mud and debris at speed
  • 3D Sidewall Lugs — Extra grip when aired down on rocks and soft terrain
  • High Void Ratio — Aggressive self-cleaning prevents mud packing
  • Reinforced Shoulder — Puncture resistance for forestry and farm work
  • Special Compound — Balances off-road grip with tread longevity

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT CF3000

⚠️ Wet Road Performance

Like all aggressive mud terrain tyres, the CF3000 has reduced wet road grip compared to highway terrain or all-terrain tyres. The high void ratio that makes it excellent in mud means less rubber contacts the road on wet pavement. Allow extra following distance in rain and consider an all-terrain alternative if you do significant highway driving in wet conditions.

🔄 Directional Tyre Rotation

The CF3000's directional tread pattern means tyres can only be rotated front-to-back on the same side of the vehicle. You cannot cross-rotate to the opposite side, which may result in faster front tyre wear. If you prefer more flexible rotation options, consider a symmetrical MT like the Predator New Mutant X-MT or Joyroad MT200.

🔊 Road Noise Levels

Surprisingly manageable for an aggressive MT tyre. In a popular YouTube review, the owner drives at 125 km/h and comments "not bad at all". While louder than highway or all-terrain tyres, the CF3000 performs better than expected. Most noticeable above 100 km/h on coarse-chip seal.

WHO SHOULD BUY THE CF3000?

SUV fitted with Comforser CF3000 mud terrain tyres at sunset

The Comforser CF3000 mud terrain tyre is ideal for:

  • Forestry workers — aggressive self-cleaning in wet bush conditions
  • Farm vehicles — excellent traction in muddy paddocks and tracks
  • Weekend warriors — serious off-road capability at a budget price
  • Snow drivers — directional pattern excels in unpacked snow
  • Dedicated off-road rigs — vehicles that prioritise capability over comfort

Not recommended for: Daily highway commuters, drivers prioritising quiet ride or wet road grip, vehicles requiring cross-rotation for even wear.

CF3000 VS OTHER MUD TERRAIN TYRES

How does the Comforser CF3000 compare to other mud terrain tyres we sell?

Tyre Pattern Rotation Best For Price
Comforser CF3000 Directional Front-back only Maximum off-road, forestry $$
Predator X-MT Symmetrical ✓ Full Premium off-road + warranty $$$
Anchee Grandtrac MT1 Symmetrical ✓ Full Budget + Yokohama tech $$
Joyroad MT200 Symmetrical ✓ Full Maximum value $

Bottom line: Choose the CF3000 if off-road traction is your #1 priority and you're okay with front-to-back-only rotation. Choose the Predator X-MT if you want premium quality with full rotation flexibility and road hazard warranty.

COMFORSER CF3000 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Yes — the CF3000 is highly rated for off-road performance with a 9.2/10 off-road rating. The directional tread pattern excels in mud, snow, and loose terrain. Popular with forestry workers and farm operators across NZ for delivering aggressive traction at a competitive price point compared to premium brands like BFGoodrich and Cooper.
Yes, the Comforser CF3000 has a unidirectional (directional) tread pattern with a V-shaped design optimised for mud evacuation. This means tyres can only be rotated front-to-back on the same side of the vehicle, not cross-rotated to the opposite side. Look for the rotation arrow on the sidewall when fitting.
With proper rotation every 5,000-8,000 km and correct inflation, CF3000 tyres typically last 40,000-60,000 km. Highway driving wears them faster than off-road use due to heat buildup. Because they're directional, front tyres may wear faster since cross-rotation isn't possible.
Surprisingly reasonable for an aggressive mud terrain. In the 75K-view YouTube review, the owner drives at 125 km/h on 33" CF3000s and says "not bad at all" — inviting viewers to listen to the highway noise themselves. While all MT tyres are louder than highway tyres, the CF3000 performs better than expected for its aggressive tread pattern. If whisper-quiet driving is essential, consider an all-terrain alternative.
Yes — the CF3000 performs excellently in unpacked snow (8.5/10 rating). The directional V-pattern cuts through snow effectively, similar to how it evacuates mud. However, like all MT tyres, it struggles on packed ice due to limited siping. For NZ alpine conditions, the CF3000 handles most snow situations well.
For on-road driving, follow your vehicle's door placard (typically 32-38 PSI for utes). For off-road, you can air down to 18-25 PSI to increase the contact patch and improve traction — this is when the 3D sidewall lugs really shine. Always re-inflate before returning to sealed roads to prevent sidewall damage.
Comforser tyres are manufactured in China by Shandong Yongsheng Rubber Group, one of China's largest tyre producers. They operate under strict ISO quality control standards and export to over 180 countries. Comforser is the same parent company behind Roadcruza tyres, known for consistent quality and competitive pricing.
The 265/65R17 is the stock size for Ford Ranger XLT/Wildtrak (2011+), Toyota Hilux SR5, Mitsubishi Triton, Mazda BT-50, and Isuzu D-Max. It fits directly on factory 17" wheels with no modifications needed. We keep this size in stock for fast delivery across New Zealand.
Comforser CF3000 tyres come with a 5-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. This is the same warranty period offered by premium brands like Michelin and Continental. The warranty does not cover wear, punctures, or damage from improper use.
Yes — we offer fitting and balancing at our Te Puke workshop (31 Station Road, Te Puke). Add $35-40 per tyre to the prices shown. We also deliver nationwide with free North Island shipping, so you can get them fitted at your local tyre shop if you prefer.
The BFGoodrich KM3 is a premium mud terrain at $450-600+ per tyre. The CF3000 offers similar aggressive off-road capability at $315-450 — roughly 40-50% less. The KM3 has better brand recognition, CoreGard sidewall technology, and slightly better on-road refinement. For pure off-road traction per dollar spent, the CF3000 delivers exceptional value.
The Predator X-MT offers a symmetrical pattern (full rotation flexibility), better on-road manners, lower noise, and a 4-year manufacturer warranty with road hazard coverage. The CF3000 is more aggressive off-road but noisier and can only rotate front-to-back. CF3000 is typically $50-100 less per tyre. Choose CF3000 for maximum off-road capability; choose X-MT for better all-round performance.
Yes — the CF3000 is one of our top recommendations for forestry vehicles. The directional pattern provides excellent self-cleaning in wet bush conditions, the reinforced sidewall resists punctures from branches and debris, and the aggressive tread handles steep, muddy skid sites. Many forestry contractors in the Bay of Plenty and East Coast run CF3000s.
Yes — we stock multiple sizes that fit the Landcruiser 70 Series. The 265/75R16 is the most popular factory-equivalent size. For a slightly larger upgrade, the 285/75R16 fits with minor trimming on some models. Both sizes are in stock for fast delivery. Check our tyre size calculator to compare diameter differences.
Look for the rotation arrow on the CF3000 sidewall — the arrow should point in the direction of forward travel. When mounted correctly, the V-pattern should point forward like an arrow. If you're getting tyres fitted at a shop, let them know it's directional so they mount it correctly. Our team can advise if you're unsure.
Yes — all CF3000 sizes we sell are road legal in New Zealand and will pass WOF inspection when fitted correctly and with adequate tread depth (minimum 1.5mm). The tyres are E-marked for international safety compliance. Check our WOF tyre guide for full legal requirements.
