- The Predator Comptrax PR1 A/S is an ultra high performance all-season tyre that pairs sharp handling with a genuinely quiet ride. It is built for performance sedans, coupes, crossovers and SUVs that want year-round grip without a harsh cabin, and is sold in New Zealand exclusively through Tyre Dispatch. Its standout is the spec sheet: a UTQG rating of 560 AA A, which means a long-wearing compound with the highest wet-traction grade on the scale.
- The PR1 A/S uses an asymmetric tread, so each half of the tyre does a different job. The outer shoulder, anchored by a solid circumferential rib, sharpens steering response and straight-line stability. The inner shoulder and central tread blocks carry deep sipes that pull water off wet roads, then close up and interlock as the tyre loads in a corner, firming the contact patch for stronger dry traction and shorter braking. Three main grooves with curved lateral channels move the bulk of the water out from under the tyre to keep it in contact with the road. The 560 treadwear rating points to real kilometre life, and the AA traction grade is the top wet-grip rating a tyre can carry.
