Description

  • Predator Radial Classic Grand Touring Tyre
  • The Predator Radial Classic is a grand touring tyre for classic, muscle and vintage cars: period looks on the outside, modern radial engineering underneath. It is the answer for owners who want the right era styling without running old, perished or period-correct tyres that are well past safe. Sold in New Zealand exclusively through Tyre Dispatch, with a choice of whitewall or raised white lettering to match your car.
  • The styling is the point of difference. The White Wall (WW) option gives the clean, two-tone look of the chrome-and-fins era, while the Raised White Lettering (RWL) option carries the bold muscle-car presence of the golden age. Under that, it is a modern tyre: a symmetrical tread with four grooves to clear water, a contemporary high-performance compound for year-round grip, and durable radial construction for the smooth, quiet, composed ride a classic deserves on a Sunday run or a club cruise. It carries a UTQG rating of 480 A B, a long-wearing compound with strong traction, well matched to the relaxed cruising speeds and low yearly kilometres a classic actually does. Older small-diameter fitments are covered too, with popular sizes such as 185/70R13, 205/75R15 and 215/70R14. For a car that often wears tyres older than is safe, that modern construction is as much a safety upgrade as a styling one.
  • Key Features
  • Two period-correct sidewall styles. Choose White Wall for the vintage chrome-and-fins look, or Raised White Lettering for muscle-car presence.
  • Modern safety, classic looks. A contemporary high-performance compound and radial construction bring current grip, ride and handling to a car that would otherwise run dangerously old rubber.
  • Symmetrical, long-wearing tread. A UTQG 480 treadwear rating and a symmetrical pattern that rotates in any direction give even wear and a tyre that keeps looking fresh on a shown car.
  • All-season wet capability. Four grooves direct water away from the contact patch to hold the road in the wet through the year.
  • Smooth, quiet cruising. Durable radial construction delivers a settled, comfortable ride suited to relaxed touring rather than period harshness.
