- The Predator Comptrax PR2 A/S is an ultra high performance all-season tyre for drivers who want sharp dry handling but still cross into cold, wet and lightly snowed roads. It suits performance sedans, crossovers and SUVs, and is sold in New Zealand exclusively through Tyre Dispatch. Where a typical UHP tyre gives up in slush, the PR2's asymmetric tread keeps working, which makes it a sensible single set for drivers who run the Desert Road or head to the South Island in the cooler months.
- The PR2 A/S runs an asymmetric tread, with the inner and outer halves shaped for different jobs. The outer side carries the grip and steering response for dry handling, while the inner side uses zigzag-shaped grooves that clear slush and light snow rather than packing up with it. Dual circumferential grooves move water and slush off the contact patch, and high-density sipes across the face add biting edges for wet grip. The compound is tuned for grip and stopping power in both wet and dry, and the tyre carries a UTQG rating of 520 AA A, pairing a long-wearing compound with the highest wet-traction grade on the scale.
