Yes. All-terrain tyres are designed for approximately 70% road / 30% off-road use. Quality AT tyres perform well on highways with only slightly more noise than highway terrain tyres. They're ideal for mixed driving — commuting during the week and off-road adventures on weekends.

Quality AT tyres typically last 50,000-70,000 km depending on driving style, terrain mix, and rotation discipline. Premium brands can exceed 80,000 km with proper care. Rotate every 8,000-10,000 km for even wear — this can add 20-30% to total tread life.

For soft sand (90 Mile Beach, Muriwai), drop to 15-18 PSI for flotation. This increases the tyre's contact patch and prevents digging in.
