What the Hilo Green Plus is built to do

The smaller-wheel performance option: wet-road drainage inside, stronger cornering support outside.

The outside half uses broad ribs and a more closed shoulder to support steering response and cornering. The inside uses wider grooves and a denser pattern of cuts to help braking and move water away from the footprint.

A silica-based tread compound, wide steel belts and a jointless nylon cap are used to hold the tread shape at speed. Variable pitch lengths break up the repeating noise generated as each block reaches the road.

The two 17-inch sizes are XL. The 195/55R16 is standard load, which is why the full load rating matters when choosing between otherwise similar sizes.

Three sizes are listed. The 195/55R16 values come from the label on new workshop stock; the other two reflect the corrected listing values.

The Green Plus 195/55R16 product listing still needs its blank grade cells and 72 dB value corrected. This page uses the confirmed workshop label: 480, D, C and 71 dB.
