What the Hilo Vantage XU1 is built to do

Low-profile sizing, a firm outside shoulder and closely divided inner tread for wet roads.

The XU1 divides the work across the tread. The inside uses smaller blocks and four longitudinal grooves to move water; the outside uses larger blocks and a firmer shoulder to keep more rubber supported during cornering.

Its carbon-polymer tread compound is intended to balance traction, rolling resistance and wear. The listed 480 treadwear grade is high for a low-profile tyre, while traction A and temperature A are the supporting UTQG grades.

All four sizes are extra load. XL does not mean carrying more than the vehicle permits; it means the tyre can carry its rated load at the higher pressure specified for that construction.
