What the HP RX307 is built to do
An everyday tyre for small and mid size cars, made for town and the motorway home.
The HP RX307 is built for the car that gets used every day. Its asymmetric tread puts three notched ribs down the middle for grip on dry and wet roads and a wide shoulder of long blocks outside for steady steering, and channels between the ribs carry the water away. Every size is graded 400 A A, and it comes in five sizes for 15 and 16 inch wheels, the sizes Corollas, Civics, Mazda 3s and Swifts wear.

How the HP RX307 tread works
Every part of the HP RX307's tread has a job to do. Here is what each one does for you on the road.
Made for town
The HP RX307 is built for the driving most cars actually do: town streets, school runs, the supermarket car park and the motorway home. Joyroad designed it for city use first, with steady, predictable control at every speed you drive at in town and on the open road, and a tread made to stay quiet on the daily commute. It is the tyre for a car that gets used every day.
Grip in the wet
Three ribs run down the middle of the HP RX307, each cut with notches that point in different directions. Those notches give the tread edges to bite with on a dry road and on a wet one, and they feed water into the channels between the ribs so it can drain away. That is how the tyre resists aquaplaning and keeps a reliable grip on wet tarmac.
Steady through a lane change
The HP RX307's shoulders are wide, with long blocks that hold their shape when the weight of the car moves onto them. Change lanes on the motorway, swing through a roundabout or turn into a side street and the tyre stays steady and predictable instead of squirming. The tread is asymmetric, so the outside face is marked on the sidewall and goes on facing out, and we fit it the right way round.
Bite when you brake
The blocks of the HP RX307 are cut with sharp edges, and every edge works like a small hook in the road surface. More edges gripping means better traction when you pull away from the lights and a shorter stop when you brake. It wears well too: graded 400 for treadwear, right on the median of 400 for the tyres we inspect in our workshop.
How the HP RX307 is graded
Every one of the five HP RX307 sizes carries the same UTQG grade: 400 for treadwear, A for traction and A for temperature. A is the highest temperature grade there is.

On speed, three sizes are V rated (240 km/h) and two are H rated (210 km/h). Every size is a standard load tyre, and the load index runs from 84 to 95, which is 500 kg to 690 kg per tyre.
Where the HP RX307 fits and where it does not
